The number of people who work at home has increased dramatically with people using laptops, ipads and tablets anywhere and everywhere. From my research I discovered that people work all around the home: in bed, on the sofa, using a dining table or even sitting in a car. I discovered also that office furniture has blurred in that domestic environment. In my MA thesis I investigated this and assessed whether office chairs are desirable in the domestic environment, or, whether a new kind of furniture is necessary. Thus, in my practical work I concluded that changing heights without industrial mechanisms for the domestic environment is a real preference for many people. My table Camel, is a response to this.
