This was an exciting project for Architect Emma Adams—an entire 1930’s house in Cambridge was to be upgraded with the addition of a large rear extension. Clement steel windows and door screens were chosen to totally revitalise the back of the house and also internally, with the addition of an interior screen between the kitchen and sitting room. The slim, black frames let in plenty of light as well as create a contemporary feel throughout.
Clement EB24 steel sections were used for the external screen and windows, allowing for double glazing and a consistent look, whilst internally a W20 steel section was used with a 6.4mm glass unit.
The client and Architect were very pleased with the end result, Emma said: “As an Architect working on private houses, I have used Clement Windows on a few projects now and have found them to be responsive with their pricing, detailed design, production information and helpful on site. Any minor problems have been put right immediately and my clients have been more than happy with the outcome. Their steel windows are of good quality and have looked great in both heritage settings and modern interiors.”
