Situated on a 30-acre land at Plot P20, Kidurong Industrial Area Phase 2, Tanjung Kidurong of Bintulu, Sarawak with a built-up of 550,000sf approximately, the proposal aims to facilitate the core business of the corporation, particularly in oil and gas sector.
The development consists of a 4-storey Administrative Office Block, a MRO Service Centre, a Steel Fabrication Yard and a Storage Warehouse with opened container yard.
The Administrative Office Block is designed to meet several essential business functions. The building facade features almost full glazing with series of vertical aluminium box louvres adopting the company corporate colours, not only shading the windows but adding the visual interest. Different spacing of the louvres and colours set up a deeply textured and dynamic cadence, complementing the building’s otherwise neutral and muted tones. Performance glass is selected not only for the indoor thermal comfort but also not to compromise visible light transmission. Having the solid wall, aluminium composite panel box-up and clean curtain wall incorporated, the construction represents an amiable mix of strength and gentleness to the frontage.
Other industrial blocks is enhanced by seemingly random arrangement of light grey and red/blue/green corrugated metal panels forms an interesting pixilated fragment at both ends, aspired to be a modern vibrant industrial hub with its stunning contemporary facade design.
