Style: Modern
Room: Bathroom
Kgodisho Solutions and Projects aims to provide first-class results to any project. And this bathroom that required a modern renovation was no exception.
In the old bathroom, a bathtub took up way too much legroom. In addition, it added to the cramped look of the entire space, seeing as the toilet and oversized vanity were located right beside it.
And the rectangular wall- and floor tiles certainly added to the old and outdated look of the bathroom!
Removing the outdated rectangular wall tiles of the old bathroom, as well as the previous vanity (which is where the new shower space is located).
A big pile or rubble and broken concrete, yet the end product will all be worth it!
Although nowhere near complete, we can already get a firm idea of the new shower's location and design.
Stainless steel in a curvy design ensures a most contemporary look for the shower, contrasting nicely with the otherwise linear look of the bathroom.
The tiling touch is enhanced brilliantly in the shower space, with bunches of tiny mosaic tiles adding character and a whole lot of dazzle, especially when coming into contact with the natural light filtering through the window.
Horizontal tiling designs trick the eye into making the wall areas seem wider than they are. For the floor, square tiles were laid diagonally to mimic a pathway into the bathroom in a modern and subtle way.
Fixtures in crisp white, such as the toilet and sink, stand out most prominently from the otherwise earthy colour palette.
Don't overlook the much more modern look of the new vanity, its dark and dramatic colour palette, and the subtle touches of shine ensured via the stainless steel door knobs and faucets.
