We were asked to design a new cafe in Brussels which proposes a meeting place as a co-working space, free WIFI connection and a local BIO menu, accessible to all. But also, the possibility to order to take away. Ours tasks involved the global design, from brand name and logo to the functional design and furniture. Using the existing space delimitation (columns and beams) we proposed three differents zones: the first one has the counter with a place close to the entrance to receive the orders to takeaway. Attached to the opposite wall, the OSB boards with stools; the second one with round tables with chairs and stools; the third one dedicated to the co-working area, with benches and cushions. The base color, medium gray, and wood colored elements were contrasted with fresh colors, such as yellow and mint, creating a lively environment. Some eco friendly topic were included: the OSB panel and recycling wood for the furniture, LED lamps, ceiling and floor insulation, floor heating system, etc. Altogether, the design is an innovative space, atypical for that city place, which invites to stay and have a good time with friends and colleagues.
