Clement Windows was excited to have been enlisted on this restoration project at The Cooperage, located on a former industrial site in Central London and believed to have been built in the early 1900s. Chris Dyson Architects were invited in 2011 to complete a renovation of the property, transforming it into a spectacular five bedroom family house.
Clement EB24 steel windows with genuine T Bars were selected to replace the original windows because they offer a similar appearance but greater thermal and acoustic performance to the originals. A series of both internal and external bespoke door screens were also manufactured for the project, which featured genuine T Bars to match the windows and provide the ‘industrial look’ which is in keeping with the character of the property, and a charcoal grey colour with a semi-gloss finish was selected for both elements.
The Cooperage has been nominated for the RIBA House of the Year 2017 long list.
