Cubiculum Interiores was born from an encounter of friends, travels and universes

that cross and enrich themselves.

Álvaro Roque5e is an interior decorator, an6quarian, wrote for magazines, decorated showrooms, edited books, has one of the most beau6ful an6que stores in Lisbon, the Ar Pab – at Rua D. Pedro V, and today lives between Lisbon and Paris. “I think of me as a home dresser and not as a formal interior decorator: I dress homes, I give them a soul and above all I create environments to be lived. For that reason I never dress houses in Sunday dresses or dresses to visit the godmother. And even when I dress them in long dresses, it is with the inten?on of making them more elegant and always with the concern that one is able to live inside!”

Joana Correia is an architect and for the last years she has been the head of the project team for a known decora6on brand in Portugal. “I have always tough about space at the scale of a doorknob. The interior design scale in architecture is a place with personality, I think spaces for someone and look to know that person’s way of living. The way I use ligh?ng, the usage of colour and style always depends on the interpreta?on of such personality, and that is what makes this work so fascina?ng.”

Because each Customer, each Space, changes our approach, because everything depends on the variables of this encounter, which can and should influence the project experience like a unique, unrepeatable experience.The concept is therefore the same of tailoring. Having the technical and product capacity ensured by a team experienced in all levels of Customer needs. It is intended that the project gains its own iden6ty, “for that reason our projects are always named and even have a logo” a symbol which accompanies us throughout the whole process”.

The Showroom and Atelier space is at Rua D. João V, in Lisbon, and is a work space, where we receive Customers and Partners as if we were at home. And that is what this is all about, what we intend to pass on is that that space is available for our Customers to know us bePer, to confirm the quality and originality of the pieces and, at the same 6me, to have a conversa6on, drink some coffee and understand how we can work together.
