Miro Gallery, Mayfair
A prerequisite of this project was that the finished installation did not distract or detract from the exhibitions held within the gallery. For us, this presented an unusual challenge: how do we create a unique, striking entrance that simultaneously needs to blend into the background?
What we did was create floor-to-ceiling ‘walls’ that pivot open, allowing entrance and exit to and from the gallery without so much as a hinge in sight. A section of the wall was installed flush to the rest, but as you walk towards said section, over seven square metres glides away to reveal the double door exit entrance to the gallery.
