This apartment in the building dated back to the XVI century needed a new layout and its uneven wooden beams were too bending and too vibrating. Structural reinforcement had to be performed.

Layers of flooring which were installed over the years, were removed to discover the wooden beams. We found out that one of the layers consisted of a beautiful mosaic floor, which was reserved to be installed later. After this, a light and very resistant concrete slab was made on top of the beams with the previous installation of a corresponding beam filling with armature and welded wire mesh. The restored flooring was put back in place; walls and bathroom floor were covered with microcement Original wooden windows and doors were restored, and catalan vault was left visible in most of the area. The rest of works were similar to any other remodeling process: new layout for more open spaces, electricity, plumbing, air conditioning and heating pipes and so on.
