The 270-square-feet one-room apartment was transformed into a stylish, modern studio flat in black and white. All walls were torn down. An airy home with an open kitchen connecting the bedroom and paved with wood-pattern tiles throughout the house is created for a young couple and their puppy.
The spacious entrance corridor is largely glazed with grey mirrors which is also designed as a memory wall for the owners. The grey mirrors extend to the bright open kitchen whilst the extruded wall and irregular marble bar table energize the room. A passage to the bathroom is especially designed for the puppy and well hidden under the bar table, which has also equipped a washing machine.
The bedroom area is raised with wooden platform align with the window bay that the 4-feet double bed is placed right next to the window, providing free space and additional storage. Instead of 2 steps, the 3-step platform is again designed for the puppy. A large hidden cabinet comprises a 6-feet white sliding door that can possibly be a screen for the projector above the bed on the opposite side, projecting movies, ball games or the hit-the-trend moon clock as the couple wishes. The space between the bed and the hidden cabinet is adorned with a rug and cushions, in addition to the tailor-made sofa with grey cushions on the window bay near the kitchen, for friends or the couple to enjoy the amazing river view.
The bathroom is clean lined with the industrial pendants and the raw-pattern tiles on walls and floor, contrasting to the living room, different yet chic.
