We hope you like superior design and total luxury, because that is exactly what today's home tour will showcase.

The Nova Lima project by Isabela Canaan architects is absolutely stunning, and features top-notch architectural and interior design composition—especially in the areas of indoor lighting and seamless space-making—all ideal for a small, single family. Let's get started by taking a look from the outside…

Novel walls

What is the point of having a house this beautiful if it stays hidden from the world behind walls? Furthermore, who wants a view of a wall from their deck? So we have here the perfect solution: protective walls with glass, inset on thick stone frames.

The wide front steps have been lined with lush mini Queen palm trees and aqua blue incandescent lawn lights, while both upper and lower decks look out on the landscaping and the quaint neighbourhood  - all the views are spectacular!

Detail-oriented

This bathroom is comprised of so many sophisticated design details, it is fairly impossible to go through each of them here.

The most outstanding though, include the yellow spotlights over the bath, the enormous wooden box frame that the spa tub has been set into, and the sinks' tiled countertop, which is spaced from the cabinetry below, giving a really intriguing design twist to this room.

Open floor plan

The main inner shell of the house has been given an open floor plan, meshing the kitchen, dining and living spaces into one superbly elegant area that includes a long aquarium spanning the length of the living and dining areas.

Several stylishly eclectic lamps hang from the high, wood beamed and sloping ceilings, really lighting things up, and providing several lighting scheme combinations.

Lastly, the kitchen area opens out onto the large back patio through a bar/breakfast nook window, making this the ideal home for entertaining.

The master suite

The master bedroom leads into the long, loft hallway to the right, that overlooks the main open living and eating areas below. However, a thick wood door ensures this room gets the privacy it needs.

A lighter coloured pine wood has been used for this room's floors—better so as to keep this more secluded space still feeling wide and roomy, despite the large bed and lounge chair, which fits two people.

Again, these designers have perfected the art of putting together superior lighting arrangements; there is a light in every area of the room, including snazzy wall lights above the lounger chair that could be used alone to achieve a romantic ambience.

A proper work space

The owners of this home are well equipped to also run their own business here, in this office, which has been given as much care as any office found in a skyscraper.

It has been fully supplied for two people to work comfortably, with two cute paisley cork boards, two work desks plus a gorgeous meeting desk made of hard rosewood, polished to a high sheen. So, after a fantastic night of entertaining guests downstairs, it will not be difficult to get straight to work the next morning!
