Everyone dreams of having their very own vacation getaway from time to time. Some imagine this place as a secluded little cottage in the woods; others hope to someday own a cliff-side condo overlooking picturesque scenery.

One of the most common vacation home fantasies is the beach house. Located on a white sand beach and surrounded by palms, it’s hard not to loosen up and relax at a place like this. Formalities of décor and the need to impress are replaced with vibrant tropical colours and furnishings that reflect the laidback mood associated with this sort of place.

If this look appeals to you, we’ve got some real eye candy on the docket today as we will be touring a gorgeous Caribbean home by the architects at Isnara Gurgel – Arquitectura  + Interiores with lots of wonderful, beachy features.

A vibrant beginning

It takes a special house to pull of this look. The home is painted the colour of orange sherbet ice cream, a bold colour choice that works nicely in this Caribbean setting.

The swaying white hammocks and the rustic awning made of ocean reeds add a breezy feel to the look. Appearances are only surface deep, however, so let’s take a closer look at this home’s wonderful features.

Rustic details

In addition to the spacious covered porch that was visible in the last image, several windows on first storey of the home are covered with rustic awnings made from logs.

In addition to offering a bit of shade on the ground level, they serve as the perfect platforms for a small garden on the second storey.

The perfect spot to take in the ocean breeze

Moving around to the back of the house, we can see that there is yet another outdoor patio for enjoying the salty ocean air. Here, we can also get a glimpse at just how close this home is situated to the water. Even sans the oceanic backdrop, the wicker furniture adds to the beach feel.

Combined with rustic details and other natural materials, this is an excellent hangout spot that’s sure to usher in mellow vibes and feelings of complete relaxation for anyone who pulls up a chair.

A tiki bar to boot!

No seaside vacation home would be complete without a tiki bar! Furnished and decorated with natural materials, this little nook is casual and inviting.

The bar comfortably seats three, but it can also serve as a drink making station when there are larger gatherings.

That view!

As if that chill porch spot by the water wasn’t enough, the home also comes equipped with the best sunbathing spot imaginable. Set up right above the water, this vantage point not only receives peak sunlight, but it also offers an utterly spectacular view. What more could a person ask for in a beach house? We are certainly swooning over this one.

That does it for this tour, but if you still can't get enough of the vacation homes featured on our site, check out this serene beachside dwelling in France.
