What is the fastest and easiest way of building a comfortable family dwelling within a tight budget? Before we attempt to answer this question, you should know that there is no one correct way of building a pocket friendly family home. However, if you have a little construction knowledge and experience, you can build a house from scratch within an extremely tight budget.

Opting for a preconceived and pre-approved plan can considerably cut down building costs and the time it takes to realise your dream project. The project we will explore today follows this technique to make houses affordable for many prospective owners. The planning and visualisations of this idyllic home were carried out by Pracownia Projektowa Archipelag from Wrocław, Poland.

Garage

The part brick and part wooden exterior gives this cottage a very stylish look. It also has a two car garage of about 29 sq metres. A landscaped garden, surrounding the house from all sides, makes it look extra special.

Overview of the project

This detached home is planned for a family of four. It occupies a living area of approximately 130 sq metres, which includes the spacious ground floor and an attic adaptation. It is built to modern specifications with high quality materials.

The elegant style and simple but graceful façade are some of the key features of this single family home. It is designed to occupy a plot area of about 355 sq metres’.

Living room

The interior is spacious and sunny. A large open plan living room and dining-area cum-kitchen occupies the entire north eastern corner of the house. You can enjoy a view of the 31 sq metre living room from the image above.

The proposed design includes a romantic fire place – acting as a divider between the private zone and the lounge – milky white tiled flooring and a colour scheme dominated by shades of coffee brown, white and black. A cosy sectional sofa, ottoman and simple transparent table are brought to decorate its interior.

Bookshelves and cabinets occupy the space between the fireplace and the closest wall. Stylish lighting fixtures, paintings and a dark area rug augment the charm of the room.

Kitchen

Throughout the day, the kitchen enjoys ample sunshine. This helps in maintaining a clean and hygienic interior.

Laminated cabinets topped with dark stone counters and metallic accents give this space a very fashionable look. The walls are painted in grey and white, but the flooring shows a warmer yellowish tint.

Other noteworthy features

The ground floor also has three generously sized bedrooms, a couple of bathrooms and a pantry. The hallway is reasonably expansive too. The 60 sq metres attic was designed according to the client’s requirements.

Spacious patio and sundeck allow owners to enjoy the views of the surroundings and relax in peace whenever they can. The outdoor dining area on terrace is useful for arranging occasional parties with friends and family members.

Building a new house combining style, trend and grace could not have been easier than this. If you are searching for more budget friendly options do not forget to check this splendid urban villa!
