Although we’re not all fortunate enough to be born into a life with hectares and hectares of closet/wardrobe space, we don’t need to put up with cramped little corners overflowing with our finest fashionables either. Fortunately, having a little dressing room / walk-in space is easier than most people think – all it takes is some inspiration and dedication to making it work.

And here we present the inspiration…

1. Think about it: all you really need for a walk-in is a wall/row of cabinets behind which you can design and decorate an open wardrobe.

2. Some curtains can hide just about anything!

3. Not sure what to do with that spare room? This idea might work…

4. Hang some curtains behind your bed (not pushed against the wall) and you have some spare space to call your own walk-in dream!

5. This wall niche (in which a wardrobe is hidden) takes on a slightly Eastern / Arabic style which we love!

6. This little corner was styled up via nothing more than a clothing rail, boxes and a chest of drawers.

7. Is there a bit of legroom in your current bedroom that you can spare to do something similar?

8. Sliding doors save on floor space, plus let you make an “entrance” when pushing open that walk-in closet.

9. With the right lighting, colours and features, your walk-in wardrobe can become quite the contemporary creation.

10. Don’t forget that rugs, wallpaper and furniture can also conjure up a most luxurious/classic-looking space.

11. See how the tufted fabric of the closet door introduces a touch of elegance in this otherwise modern/minimalist room.

12. On the other hand, some simple (yet stylish) wardrobes melting into the wall can also look super elegant in the right space.

And on that note, we present to you Life hacks: 7 steps to wardrobe heaven.
