Thinking about wood for the bathroom would seem like a risky bet. However, the most beautiful bathrooms today have wood in their decoration. Whether in some detail or on the floor and countertop, wood is one of the keys to the modern bathroom. And yes, it is no longer a privilege of cabins and cottages: wood can beautify bathrooms of different styles, provided it has received the appropriate treatments.

What care should wood receive for coating bathrooms or for bathroom furniture? For starters, it must be solid. Some species such as cedar, algarrobo or lapacho are often the ideal options. The characteristic of these varieties is that they come from tropical regions where they adapted to the humidity with natural oils that give them resistance. Anyway, the important thing of the wood for the bath is that it is properly parked, so that it does not undergo movements or breaks.

Secondly, the wood should be a little porous and rather hard. The finish that you apply has to function as a thermal insulation, that is, be able to withstand water, moisture and steam. Usually several polyurethane wood hands are applied. In terms of daily maintenance, the ideal is to dry the surface that is wet or damp and provide good ventilation for the space.

Let us, then, go and enjoy these spectacular baths where the wood is the star that shines the most!

1. All wood floor

Undoubtedly every detail of this bathroom embellishes, but the proposal that surprises us here is the clean hardwood floor.

2. Walls

Jroth professionals are experts in Patagonia cabins and this image of absolute warmth belongs to them. Frosted glass is a good idea to maintain the opacity and, above all, privacy of the bathroom.

3. Natural stone

Natural wood looks great in bathrooms where the rustic and the modern intersect, especially in combination with natural stone.

4. All but the ceiling

Incredible feelings of cleanliness and comfort come from this bathroom which is covered almost entirely in wood.

5. Rustic planks

This sloping bathroom is the ultimate in innovative design. Without wood, we would hardly appreciate the sloping strokes of the ceiling.

6. Cladding with tiles

Noting the consistency of keeping it clean and dry, wood looks great even in the toilet area. The backpack recessed behind the lining gives the detail of sophistication.

7. In the shower

The modern bathroom makes wood its flag. The glass accompanies it, which replaced the standard and boring bathroom curtain forever.

8. Rustic wood

Levels and textures play a crucial role in this rustic bathroom.

9. Wood and ceramic

When wood delineates the bath, it produces a dynamic effect without equal. It is clear that you do not need the wooden floor, as the ceiling beams give enough character.

10. Non-slip deck style

Another possibility for incorporating wood in the bathroom is by creating a deck or floating floor for the shower exit. An investment that is worth it in terms of decoration and efficiency.

11. Jacuzzi decking

Nothing is better around a jacuzzi than a wooden platform. It will have your bathroom feeling like your very own little spa room. The step is optional, but elegant.

12. Across rooms

If you want more elegant detailing with wood, use it as a transition element across rooms.  It provides an indescribable harmony, as you can see here.

13. Combo flooring

Having part of your floor made from ceramic tile is a smart alternative for those who do not want to spend the day drying. The wood for the bathroom needs daily care, beyond the anti-humidity treatment.

14. Wicker, polished surfaces, and neutral tones

Neutral tones enhance the beauty of the wood in the bathroom. The wicker can accompany the natural effect with the implementation of accessories. Metal, glossy, and opaque surfaces are complements typical of these times.

15. Minimalist shapes

Minimalism is one of the most used styles in the bathroom. The same goes for the decoration and design of oriental touches, especially in tune with Zen.

16. Laminate

Laminate is much easier to maintain, far more economical, and provides very similar effects to natural wood. For the bathroom, it is an option to take into consideration.

17. Unify

The versatility of wood is infinite in terms of interior decoration. This eclectic bath gives an account of how wood unifies styles.

18. Bathroom and bedroom

This mansard space unifies the floor of the bathroom and the bedroom. The glass shower effectively protects the rest of the space from moisture.

19. Small bathrooms

There are no limits to the combinations where wood shines. In modern bathrooms, grey and beige are preferred to accompany it. The small bathrooms are resplendent with wooden floors.

20. Rustic and hyper-modern

The stone wall is undoubtedly typical of the rustic style. However, the details in the ceramic and the sanitary of minimalist tile make this bathroom a space the most contemporary.
