Overlooked and overused, bathrooms finally need to be regarded as the important fixture that they are in our daily lives.  No matter what size or region you live in, creating a luxury bathroom is possible with any amount of meters (or lack thereof) and budget. In 2017, we're trying to focus on high-design that's also accessible and budget friendly and your bathroom is one area of your home where this can be applied.

These 12 luxury bathrooms listed below come in all shapes, sizes and styles—there is bound to be one that you connect with and feel inspired by!

1. An easier, traditional option

A great-sized bathroom, seek tiles and greenery—this bathroom goes to show that you can turn any space into a spa-inspired area, that is clean, hygienic, and well-designed.

2. Plenty of storage

Equipped with a shower and a jacuzzi, a towel warmer and a great area to store everything you need, this bathroom has both the essentials and the modern design anyone could every want.

3. Wood, everywhere

Modern, masculine and Scandinavian, this bathroom is large enough for both a shower and a bath tub, and offers a double vanity making it the perfect place to prepare for work or a night out.

4. Add a large, step-in shower

A large, step-in shower is the first key to success in a spa bathroom! This textured wall and waterfall showerhead adds an extra sense of luxury.

5. Perfect for relaxation

An angled space (we have another one listed below) used to its full advantage! Plenty of storage, bright colours, a relaxation spa bath and a great skylight. What more could you want?

6. Soothing neutrals

The moment you step into this bathroom, luxury and relaxation is in the air. With dim lighting, a neutral colour scheme and plenty of greenery and candles, you can truly relax after a hard days' work.

7. Small-scale and rustic

Smaller bathroms can be wonderful too, with the right design techniques. This neutral and wooden bathroom is incredibly rustic and provides the everyday items that you need.

8. Textured walls

If you're looking to make a smaller cosmetic change to your bathroom, simply consider textured paint or wallpaper. Just make sure when using any paint or wallpaper that it's durable in wet and humid environments to avoid mold.

9. Rustic with modern applications

These dark blue slate tiles, mixed with the rustic exposed shelves is the perfect way to give a modern touch to a rustic area. The appliances are all top-notch as well!

10. For those with angled spaces

Angled bathrooms and spaces are a somewhat common thing, so use this to your advantage! Angle your shower, like seen here, and add as many skylight as you can to cut down on energy consumption. Natural light is always better when getting dressed and applying makeup, anyways.

11. A chic, Scandinavian paradise

All you need is a great splash of bright white, chic rustic wood accessories and a patterned floor to turn a modern, Scandinavian bathroom into a chic paradise! Any type of patterned tile will work with this look, so feel free to get creative!

12. Create your own luxury oasis

Love going to thermal spas and steam rooms? This option is perfect for you! By adding wood (cedar wood is preferred) you can easily create a healthy, steam environment in your very own bathroom! Add sealed wood to the floor too, to really add a thermal spa feel!

Do you think some or most of these options are doable for you? Are you ready to revamp your own bathroom to turn it into a great spa get-away right in your own home? Homify is here to help!
